"Landon is a great coach. He didn’t just talk at the boys. He actually got out there and showed them how to do it. He also explained from a PRO football side why things work and don’t. And how you should do it correctly and explained why. Even with it raining, he stayed out there and showed them how to push through. He built them up and gave them more confidence. I highly recommend any camp he puts on."

What They Say About Landon

"Landon is just awesome, He's steady Eddie. Whatever you ask him to do, he does it to the best of his ability." – Former Bengals Linebacker Coach

"He was very productive as a tackler. He's a settling influence on our defense, he's an assignment-sound player, he's a veteran player, he's got good leadership and he can make plays. He's very rarely out of position and he's very reliable and a good guy to have as a teammate." – Jim Schwartz Former Lions Head Coach , Current Defensive Coordinator Cleveland Browns

"From day one, he was the person I watched, just the way he carried himself," strongside linebacker Rashad Jeanty said. "He's a true professional, the ultimate professional. If there was anybody a young guy needs to watch to learn how to be a professional, it's Landon Johnson, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart."

Coach Landon’s Approach

"I’ve always had a passion for teaching, training, and mentoring youth. Investing time and energy into young men and women is something I consider an honor and privilege.

My journey began in high school, where I volunteered in mentorship programs, helping boys who were struggling in school and lacked male role models.

In college, I continued my involvement with the Gentle Giants program at Purdue University.

During my time in the NFL, I further invested in youth through the Landon Johnson Foundation, running youth camps and engaging with kids at schools, daycares, and hospitals. After retiring from the NFL, I transitioned into teaching and coaching, spending 12 years pouring into kids at the high school level.

I have a deep passion for athletics, especially football, and a strong desire to help individuals reach their goals. It only made sense for me to combine these passions by moving my teaching from the classroom to the playing fields.

I believe sports provide young people with important life lessons that they carry far beyond the playing field—lessons like handling success and failure, dealing with adversity, persevering through challenges, goal setting, and the value of hard work."

"Today, I continue to mentor young men and women, sharing the skills, mentality, and knowledge I’ve gained from two decades of playing competitive sports at the highest levels.

Most importantly, my strong faith and relationship with God are the foundation of everything I do. When I train and coach, I take a faith-based, Christ-centered approach, treating each athlete with love, dignity, and respect while encouraging them to make the most of their God-given abilities."
